A little background. In 1982, Romero and King jointly released an anthology called Creepshow. It consisted of five stories, and Stephen King himself starred in one of them. In short, the guys made a killing.

A sequel was inevitable; it was too obvious. And so, five years later, it finally appeared. The budget was even smaller, cut in half, you could tell. But that's not the worst part. The problem was that Romero refused to direct it.

Yes, after securing his place as one of the screenwriters, Romero left. The film was handed over to Michael Gornick. Who is he? The cinematographer of Romero's early films, i.e., another friend. Naturally, I would have liked to see the father of the dead himself at the helm!

Well, that's life. The first part was almost two hours long, the second is already an hour and a half, so the number of stories was reduced from five to three. Of the three stories, I really liked the second one.

We read this story by King. It would be difficult to make a feature-length film, but a short film is ideal. Four guys came to the river to swim and climbed onto a raft. And then some strange substance floats up. Funny, scary, special thanks for the ending. Be sure to watch it!

The first story is about a wooden statue of a chief. A true classic of the genre. Bad guys, good people, and total injustice. When this happens, otherworldly forces get involved. Predictable, but interesting. The actors overacted a little (just a little). It's okay for 1987.

And we have the third novella. It's about a girl who accidentally hits a homeless man on the road. Only the homeless man didn't like it very much. The funniest of the three stories. Dark humor. Stephen King appears in this story, so don't blink (or whatever you do).

Dorothy Lamour's last role. I also recognized the guy from The Naked Gun. I'm not really familiar with the rest of the cast. What? Savini? He's not an actor, guys, ha ha ha, look at his face in this movie, if you recognize him, ha ha ha. I love the 80s, you can chop me to pieces with an axe.

The film deserves no more than a 6. I'll give it a 7. I want to support it! I love this whole thing, I respect this whole thing, I miss this time very much. As always, here's a simple truth from Z - watch the classics, I implore you.
