Review 4K Movie

The picture 'Cujo' was filmed back in 1983 by director Lewis Teague, who previously directed such amazing movies as 'Pearl of the Nile', 'Alligator' and many others. The movie was based on the story of the famous 'master of horror' Stephen King. It was directed, it must be said, quite well.

As a person who once read the above-mentioned novel, I can say that the transfer of the novel to the screen was successful. And this despite the fact that King's novels are very difficult to screen - in each of them there are so many small details, but all of them are inseparably connected with the narrative. And if you remove these details from the work, you get a complete mess. Moreover, this is what the filmmakers are trying to do - to remove unnecessary dialogues, unnecessary descriptions of characters, and unnecessary scenes from the novel. We know only a few successful transferred King's novels to the screen. But in this picture, everything is chosen wisely.

The dog is great. I can't even imagine working on a movie set with a dog. It's much harder than with an actor! But you trust this dog. Of course, this job didn't escape trouble, but overall it's fine.

The actors play great too. The relationship between spouses is well shown, and actress Dee Wallace - Stone managed to brilliantly show the horror of her situation with only emotions.

Directing on the proper level. How everything is filmed - and this is 1983! Despite the fact that the action mostly takes place in a car, the camera moves perfectly and gives excellent angles - for this we can praise the excellent cameraman and director Jan de Bont.

The movie is, in short, not without minor flaws, but it makes quite an impression. It is an incredibly strong horror movie, which, as I think, will not leave anyone indifferent. It is an unprecedented fear. It's unprecedented tension. It's Cujo. A new name for horror.
