Cult Hollywood film director Brian DePalma, who previously directed such cult films as “Carlito's Way” and “Scarface”, as well as the first adaptation of Stephen King's novel “Carrie”, decided to change his priorities. Previously, each of his movies were very highly praised by audiences and critics, but the box office wasn't too great. DePalma decided to go mainstream and made the cult action movie “Mission Impossible” with Tom Cruise. Deciding to continue in this vein he makes another movie for a wide audience. A movie in the detective thriller genre called “Snake Eyes”.

This movie has everything to please both critics and viewers alike. Here you have a terrific acting, excellent camerawork, quality soundtrack, unusual type of shooting, masterpiece direction by Brian DePalma and a gorgeous, very intriguing plot.

The plot in this movie is great. It intrigues from the very beginning. From the very beginning to the end you do not think to stop watching at least once. No matter how many times you rewatch this movie, you will never rewind any episode, for there are no unnecessary episodes here at all. Every line, every dialog is spoken with such care and soul that they are simply interesting to watch! The magnificent plot combined with DePalma's original direction of the movie provides the viewer with a gorgeous spectacle in this completely original mixture.

The actors also add color to the whole thing. Nicolas Cage is as always peerless. This time he plays a corrupt, but nevertheless, very smart cop who investigates a number of mysterious events. Helping him in this case is his friend, a security guard of a murdered official. He is played by Gary Sinise, who also gave a great performance in this movie. To hell with the actors! Every episode here is memorable with great acting. Every extra becomes memorable. It's just amazing! There's just no words.

A very high quality detective thriller starring Nicolas Cage and directed by Brian DePalma. Recommended for viewing to everyone who likes quality and exciting detectives. Now this movie can already be equated to the classics!
