Story Movie

Reminiscence 4K 2021 Ultra HD 2160p
In the near future, Miami is almost completely submerged due to global warming. Private detective Nick Bannister uses a special technology to find the right moments in human memory so that the customer can relive the past and remember something important. One day a client appears on the threshold of his office with a simple request: she forgot where she left the keys. An ordinary session turns into a full-fledged romance, until one day the woman disappears without a trace.

Review 4K Movie

Nick (Hugh Jackman) is busy with memories. He puts a miracle trick on people, and helps people to relive some moments from the past, with maximum accuracy. If this happened, it can be remembered. Sometimes it is something difficult, like looking for accomplices of the drug lord while he is in a coma, and sometimes something very, very simple - helping the beauty remember where she left the keys to the house. Only the beauty is not simple, and everything is not what it seems, and you have to go deeper and deeper to figure out who she was, why she appeared in his life, and why she suddenly disappeared.

Once upon a time in Soldiers of Misfortune, Downey Jr.'s character instructed Ben Stiller's character - 'You know how the academy treats this! It is impossible to play completely hopelessly backward! The Rain Man is autistic, yes, but how did he count the cards! Forrest Gump is a bit slow, yes, but Nixon was fascinated, he won ping-pong. You can never play completely retarded! ' (in the original - 'never go full retard!') And, apparently, the same can be said about the noir genre - you can't shoot noir at all. It is necessary to have some kind of trick. 'Orphan Brooklyn' decided to give the protagonist a stutter as a token. 'Memories' were more fortunate - here, as a feature, the flooded world of the near future appears, in which the rich drain themselves whole hectares, and those poor people who have not been washed away float on boats in the middle of skyscrapers.

But this is noir, absolutely. Okay, okay - let it be 'neo-noir', given the situation with neurointerfaces and the upcoming 'water world'. But everything else is like the good old ones. Longing for good times, pretty dresses on girls singing into an old-fashioned microphone, and a detective's voiceover explaining everything and everyone. And this voice - he overdid it.

Despite an interesting and confusing two-hour story, she was pretty spoiled by being turned into baby puree. Literally every step is chewed in the spirit of the cartoon 'Treasure Island' - 'Cannon! They load the cannon. What for? A! They will shoot! '

The poor viewer is not only left no chance to think of something on his own, he is also explained what has already been clearly shown in a voice, and this is incredibly annoying.

This is sad. Because in all other respects the film did not disappoint - excellent music, great video sequence, original plot and world, excellent actors, and in general all together this is some kind of glimpse of a new and whole in our world of multivolume franchises and TV series abandoned on the third season. If the director of the audience was not completely idiots, there would have been a film that would have been remembered for a long time not only for its uniqueness, but also for its high quality. And instead, when the words' You are going on a journey are carved into the memory after watching. All you have to do is follow my voice ', it will become sad from how it could have been good, but it did not ... Or ... Or is it so conceived and this is real noir?
