Story Movie

Voyagers 4K 2021 Ultra HD 2160p
Due to global warming, the Human Survival Project was launched in 2063. A group of children was grown in test tubes from biomaterial from specially selected donors. They did not leave the walls of the laboratory - they lived there and studied under tireless supervision, so as not to get used to sunlight and open spaces. While still young people, they go on a journey to a distant planet suitable for life, but their grandchildren will reach there at best. Soon, friends Zach and Christopher find out that the vitamin drink, which the entire team, with the exception of the accompanying adult, takes every day, contains a substance that makes them calm and obedient.

Review 4K Movie

Sooner or later, humanity will have to look for ways to escape from our planet, because the Earth simply cannot provide us with everything we need for an entire infinity and at the same time easily replenish the reserves of minerals and other priceless elements, without which we cannot imagine our usual use. In this regard, it is not at all surprising that more and more often in the scientific community there is talk about where exactly we can go and where we will try to find our new home. So far, all these arguments are nothing more than theories, and nevertheless, spacecraft flights to the Moon and Mars, the construction of giant orbiting telescopes and other space exploration bring us as close as possible to the moment when a person can still overcome the barriers of the solar system and open completely new, unexplored and promising horizons for yourself. A lot of intriguing films were shot on a given theme, but Neil Berger's film entitled "Generation Voyager" will also not be superfluous here. Moreover, it raises very unexpected, intriguing questions that deserve special attention.

So, the plot of the film takes us to the near future, when humanity is seriously thinking about how to transfer our civilization to a distant planet with the help of colonists, who will be entrusted with such a responsible mission. However, scientists considered that recruiting volunteers using traditional methods is too risky and it is necessary to send an exceptional group of people into space, which must be prepared for a responsible mission from the very beginning. Thus, in the center of the story will be young boys and girls who were born outside the family through an experiment thought out to the smallest detail. They were brought up according to a well-oiled program, avoided unnecessary desires and aspirations that could harm the future of humanity, and were generally considered the best of the best. However, along with the start of the long-awaited flight, completely unpredictable problems followed, which previously no one could have predicted.

The thing is that Christopher (Tye Sheridan) and Zach (Finn Whitehead), the most promising crew members, began to suspect the mission leadership and Dr. Richard (Colin Farrell) himself that they were clearly holding back something. And the guys turned out to be right, since the blue substance that they were obliged to take is actually not harmless vitamins, but a real suppressor of emotions. Having decided that they have the right to feel the world around them with all their fullness of feelings, young people decide to rebel against the system, but this turns out to be far from the best consequences. Some of the crew of the colonists try to maintain a sober mind, while others throw themselves into the hardest and try to take everything from life, and even more. But just one mistake on a spaceship, which has flown off the Earth at a great distance, can put an end to everything, including the ability to preserve human civilization itself ...

Director Neil Berger has always tried to explore intriguing, unusual issues through serious psychological analysis and spectacular fantasy content, which organically complement each other. To a particular extent, Berger turned out "Areas of Darkness", which actually elevated him to the rank of cult directors, and together with "Generation Voyager" he continues to explore topics whose relevance will not soon dry out, making it exciting, with bold dramatic decisions and strong directorial receptions. So do not prematurely attribute the film to the category of optional youth fiction, which, apart from debauchery and madness, has nothing to boast of.

The film captivates with its reflections on the true essence of human nature, which is ready at any moment to get out and literally smash everything around with its riot. The main characters, in fact, grew up in a real vacuum, they performed their duties harmoniously, responsibly and confidently, nothing foreshadowed any trouble, but as soon as they had the opportunity to experience what was previously inaccessible to them, the most interesting and tense begins. Each key character here has its own special type, which is revealed and evolves as the plot progresses. The characters are spelled out and worked out in detail, and it was very important that they were played by skillful young actors who are able to convey the whole essence of the director's idea.

Tye Sheridan portrayed Christopher on the screen, a sensible and sane guy who will also have to face considerable temptations to temper his character. In turn, Zach, played by Finn Whitehead, tries to take from life everything that it offers, and such a person on board is extremely dangerous. I also want to note Lily-Rose Depp, who played Sela, a very smart, interesting girl, who will have to experience increased male attention, and this is a rather serious problem, given the sealed setting of the whole story, from where it is so easy to escape.

In the end, I want to say that "Generation Voyager" is really worthwhile, fascinating fiction, which was filmed by an excellent director, masterfully guiding a strong cast. So the film is worth taking into account and appreciating it.
