Story Movie

Hospital Massacre 4K 1981 Ultra HD 2160p
1961. On Valentine's Day, a boy named David comes to visit a girl named Susan. They play with a steamroller, giggle and clearly have a soft spot for each other. Their idyll is watched through the window by another boy, Harold, who then tosses a Valentine's card under Susan's door. But the little girl rejects the paper heart with a confession and, with a sneer, crumples it up. Harold, seizing a moment when Susan has gone to the kitchen, sneaks into the house and kills the rival.

Nineteen years pass. Susan is grown up, has a husband and a child. One day she has to go to the hospital to get the X-rays she took the day before. A man in a doctor's mask gets in before her and changes the results of her examination. The doctors find that the x-ray shows leprosy (living rot), which frightens them and forcibly sends them to a special room. Meanwhile, whoever did all this starts slaughtering all the medical staff and patients, getting closer and closer to a desperate Susan...

Review 4K Movie

Boaz Davidson is a name more than famous in the world of cinema. He is a legendary producer with over 130 films to his credit, including both outright cheap horror and films like Brian de Palma's Black Orchid and Sylvester Stallone's Unstoppable. As a director Davidson is less well known. Except for "The Last American Virgin." But we're much more interested in "Hospital Massacre," the only "creepy" film in Boaz's directing career. Incredibly stupid, devoid of logic, with a "stony" acting, the obligatory nudity played by the ex-model of "Playboy", the completely idiotic and unmotivated actions of the characters, the share of sheer absurdity, a very conventional intrigue, a lot of murders and blood. Yes, it's a slasher straight from the 80s, obviously inspired by the cheap thrillers of those years, as well as by the second "Halloween" - the action takes place in a hospital, not for nothing.

There is no special suspense, nor is there any atmosphere, although it is obvious to the naked eye that Davidson has tried desperately to condense both. But there are no blatantly boring moments, the first murder (apart from the prologue) is quick enough, the locations are convincing enough, the protagonist is likable, and the deaths are varied and not at all behind the scenes, as they often are in cheap slashers of the 80s and 2000s. "Hospital Massacre" is by no means a forgotten horror classic (it's not "Scum" or "Incineration"), but the film is interesting enough, violent enough - and a fan of slashers from the "golden era" of the subgenre will most likely not regret the time spent watching it. Other categories of viewers should not watch this work, because the plot of "Massacre" is such that a connoisseur of "good cinema" will press the "stop" button before the film reaches the half-hour mark.
