"The Father" is one of those rare movies after which you sit in silence for a long time. Director Florian Zeller masterfully places the viewer inside Anthony's crumbling consciousness: you yourself begin to doubt what you see, who these people are and what apartment is real.

Anthony Hopkins plays in such a way that you forget it's an actor. Not a drop of naïveté: just fear, confusion, and moments of painful clarity that tear the hardest. Olivia Colman next to him holds her own decently, but this is his movie from the first to the last second.

It's not an entertaining movie - it's an experience. Hard, honest and necessary.

9/10 - Best acting of the decade.
