Yes, it is a movie of the late 80's with the appropriate attributes, style and habits of characters, but the atmosphere of what is happening is completely out of time. Change the characters' clothes to the current fashion, change the teenage lingo to the modern one and you will get a completely up-to-date remake, which has lost neither charm nor relevance.

Definitely recommended for viewing, if you are in the mood to “air your brains”.
