I'll tell you right away: I'm a DC fan and I know quite a lot of details from this universe, so maybe on a non immersed viewer, some of the images of Superman and Batman at the end will not have such a "wow effect". My uninitiated friend didn't share my enthusiasm, but he didn't lose his enjoyment of the movie. Still, there is a lot of fanservice here, but still less than in the last Spidey installment (Spider-Man: No Way Home). So even without knowing all the actors who played Batman - you will get pleasure from good jokes (yes, there are moments when they overdo it with them, but it was only twice during the whole movie, and here you can make allowance for the fact that Flash himself, that in the comics, that his screen version - an extremely cheerful and cheerful man), perfectly staged action and intriguing plot. Speaking of which: it's a modified Flashpoint, which reduced the scale of the problem, seriousness and gained some family. Yes, this is due to the rating, after all, the fierce war between the Amazons and the Atlanteans and the overall dark, oppressive tone of the original can't be fully conveyed within the confines of an R rating (to say nothing of the fact that they cut some of the scenes with Supergirl in the battle with Zod because it didn't fit within the rating). Even more so, it would have stretched the timeline and then Flash would have been more like Bunny Snyder's Justice League by now. Let's put it this way: the screenwriters took the main narrative of Flashpoint: "The past must remain the past, you can't change it, you can only move on"; removed the side branches, thus making the plot more linear, easier to understand for the uninitiated viewer, thus making the story more chamber and aimed at teenagers and their families; combined it all with Tim Burton's Batman universe and a lot of references.

The soundtrack is notable. Notable more because of the introduction of old tracks like "Is she with you?" by Hans Zimmer when "Is she with you?" Hans Zimmer when Wonder Woman appears, or the unchanging old Batman theme from Danny Elman. They push the nostalgia and increase the effect of the joy of a certain character's appearance. As for the soundtrack of the Flash himself..... I remembered only the song in the final battle and the lyrical music in the scene with Barry saying goodbye to his mom. But I didn't remember them so much that I could sing them, so in general the soundtrack is strong, normal, but not outstanding. I would also like to mention sound effects, because here they are just incredible: starting from the sounds in speedforce and lightning flying everywhere, finishing with the sounds of the city in the mise-en-scene.

Knowing what kind of production hell the movie went through (it took ten years to make and was rewritten every time), it's a more than decent story that tries to clean up the DCU's messes and restart it so it can finally breathe free and start fresh. Where will it go with that? I don't know. We'll have to wait and see. In the meantime, I give Flash a 2023.
