Review 4K Movie

On the wave of fantastic adventure films of the nineties, “Congo” passed somehow completely unnoticed. Meanwhile, the tape is more than worthy of attention! This amazing and very witty story about the invasion of man in the bosom of the wilderness. The story is moderately instructive, full of humor and action.

The plot revolves around a primatologist who mounts an expedition to Africa to finally release his pet gorilla Emmy into the wild, into the jungle.

The movie is amazing and interesting, primarily because of the characters and the actors who played them. There are both classic actors of “B” class movies, and serious personalities, starring, mostly, only in art-house projects. In general, who is not only here: and the main character, an expert on primates, played by Dylan Walsh (TV series “Body Parts”), and a former CIA employee who went to Africa to find her lover (Laura Linney - “Six Demons of Emily Rose”), and their guide-terrorist (Ernie Hudson - “Sharks”), and an eccentric traveler hoping to find an ancient city (Tim Curry - “Charlie's Angels”), and many others. And this is not to mention the gorilla, which is almost the main character.

The picture can not boast a high budget, but the money invested in it did not go in vain. The movie has a lot of special effects at the level of a regular adventure movie, but they are presented in such a way that just takes your breath away.

It is impossible not to mention the stunning views of Africa - mountains, rivers, jungles, flora and fauna, perfectly transferred and shown.

The movie has a huge number of different tricks and actions - every minute something happens, which does not let the viewer get bored. Conversations here are also quite meaningful, there are practically no unnecessary words or episodes, the action unfolds without unnecessary jumps or changes, so that the movie is watched with great interest and pleasure.

Especially interesting is the final part of the movie, which is more like a horror than a sci-fi adventure movie. Toward the end, the main characters find themselves in the ancient city of Zinsh, lost in the rainforest, which is inhabited by killer gorillas.

With this begins a rather strange action - many people are killed here in a great way, all this is shown in detail, but to the extent of the rating of the movie. By the way, this, the final part of the movie is the most exciting and interesting.

It should be said about the gorilla-killers themselves. They are executed simply superbly, qualitatively and magnificently. They are quite creepy (especially in the scene with the diamond mine) and bloodthirsty.

The music in the movie is very good. Not only does it fit the overall mood and style of the movie, but it is also very beautiful in itself, so the music in the movie is also beautiful.

I would like to add that this movie is not empty at all - it has its own unique philosophy, which is felt in every frame and in many lines. So this picture is, in my opinion, one of the most important adventure films of the nineties.
