Detective-sergeant Gian Ma during a regular internal inspection gets a reprimand for using brute force in apprehending criminals, but because of his successful work, his superiors turn a blind eye to it. Ma's partner Wilson, embedded in a gang of Vietnamese scumbags, is almost killed in the next crime of the Vietnamese. As a result, the police find themselves in the hands of the gang leader Archie Sin. The gang plans to rescue their boss by destroying all witnesses, including Wilson, who survived. But Detective Ma interferes in their plans.

The film is magnificent, a wonderful way to spend your time! Highly recommended for all fans of the action genre and people who love professionals in all its forms! Indeed, the main word that comes to mind to describe this film is professionalism. With an allowance for the genre, of course, I think that's clear to everyone.

The plot of the film, taking into account the genre, is wonderful. It is not just a pathetic backdrop for fighting, but a complete narrative that has all the components of a strong action movie - tough cops, evil gangsters, victims, love, “either-or” situations, and, of course, jaw-dropping action! The latter is, of course, the film's main trump card. I would even say that, judging by the box office, the film is seriously underrated in this regard. The fight scenes here easily surpass all recent movie battles. And the final fight between Donnie Yen and Colin Chow is worthy of the hall of fame of movie fights of all times and peoples. The director of this fight scene deserves a separate award! In preparing the fights for this film, it was taken into account that the action takes place in the modern world, so there is no crazy kung fu with flying kicks here. The focus is on modern combat taken from real MMA and boxing fights. It's simply a well-trained cop against a well-trained thug. The fighters' hands are always in the right place, using real hooks, effective kicks, knees, and elbows, plus excellent hip and back throws, pain and chokeholds, i.e., everything that MMA fighters and athletes actually use in combat. Jason Bourne and all of Jason Statham's characters are excellent fighters, but they are nothing compared to the true master Donnie Yen, whose physical training makes the former feel like insecure nerds! Those who don't believe it will have an amazing revelation after watching the film.

Special thanks to the cinematographer, I recommend hiring him in Hollywood, where he could give a master class in cinematography to those clumsy, talentless D-graders who shake their cameras to the point of making viewers nauseous, and teach them how to capture truly delicious moments, how to isolate them and show them to the viewer correctly!
