Story Movie

Reed Richards, Ben Grimm, Sue Storm and her brother Johnny must protect Earth from the space god Galactus and his minion, the Silver Surfer. And if Galactus' plan to devour the entire planet and all its inhabitants doesn't seem terrifying enough, the situation suddenly becomes personal.

Review 4K Movie

The first project of the sixth phase tells the story of a team of superheroes from a parallel universe trying to save their Earth from Galactus, the devourer of worlds.

My impressions after watching it are not the worst, but not the best either. The Thunderbolts and Superman (2025) were more exciting. First of all, I would like to say the following: retrofuturism is only there to emphasize that we are dealing with a parallel universe. It looks nice, but, in my opinion, it does not play a role in the plot. I consider this a pleasant difference from other films, which could have been omitted.

The film is also full of nonsense that the writers draw the viewer's attention to and then ignore. For example, childbirth in space. Reed claims that gravity is necessary for childbirth, but half a minute later it turns out that weightlessness is fine, it's not so scary, and there won't even be any problems. Why draw the viewer's attention to this if everything is easily and simply resolved later on?

The plot is banal and predictable. So much so that the ending evoked little emotion, since we already know that the entire team will be in the next Avengers movie. So why should I care about the main characters? I guess I can worry about their world, because not everything is clear here, but I don't care about that 10,000 times.

And if you've seen the previous films about the “four,” especially “The Silver Surfer,” you can predict some of the events in the finale. The only thing that was interesting was how the heroes were going to defend themselves against the universal threat.

On the positive side, it's worth noting the acting, the occasional humor, the high-quality visuals, the action scenes, and the fact that despite the above-mentioned drawbacks, the film is quite watchable. It's nice that the creators didn't dwell on the team's origins, showing us established superheroes with some victories under their belts, as was the case in Gunn's Superman. I also liked the moment when the guys give an interview and say that they will protect humanity at any cost, and then it turns out that not at any cost! It's just a pity that the ensuing conflict with society over this issue was resolved as quickly as childbirth in space.

A masterpiece episode is when Reed says that the team of astronauts for their first flight into space included the best of the best: his friend, his wife, and her brother... Yeah, I don't see any nepotism in that at all!

As for me, the film is good for one viewing, you can even go to the cinema if you want. Most likely, I'll go and see it a second time, but in better quality, because right now it feels like it's there, but it's not, there's no difference!
