In the 21st century, a ferocious virus has wiped out most of humanity and forced the survivors to isolate themselves in a single city protected by a special dome. It is there that the mysterious agent Eon Flax acts, whose motives are inexplicable and whose main goal is a prominent political figure.

In the distant future, after a global catastrophe that destroyed almost all life on the planet, only five million people remain. They all live in the city of Brenna, surrounded by endless and impenetrable virgin jungle. The city-state is ruled by a council headed by the Goodchild family, who once saved the planet's population from extinction. Now, surrounded by powerful walls, Brenna is a place of peace and tranquility. But even in an ideal society, there are always those who are dissatisfied. These are the rebels from the organization ‘Monica’. Their agent, the sexy and ruthless assassin Aeon Flux, is tasked with eliminating the president of Brenna.
The film is based on the MTV animated series. In essence, it is a fantastic dystopia wrapped up in a fantastic action movie, following in the footsteps of The Matrix and The Island. Visually, the film looks pretty good. And there's no point in criticizing the plot holes and story blunders in the script for a film designed to be spectacular.
Charlize Theron played the lead role. She plays a stylish and sophisticated heroine, dressed in black and demonstrating stunning somersaults, incredible flexibility, and hand-to-hand combat skills. Charlize, who performed most of the stunts herself, nearly broke her spine during filming. The other actors are clearly overshadowed by the main star and are not particularly memorable.

The entire film is built around Charlize Theron, and she has created a very cool cyberpunk-style heroine. But if you are not a fan of the actress, the film is nothing special and is essentially forgettable.
