McNairy County Sheriff Buford Passer had been in office for three terms. He fought crime, but after the murder of his beloved wife, he felt completely helpless. But now his place is taken by U.S. Special Forces soldier Chris Vaughn. He returns home, hoping to set up a small family business, during his absence much has changed.

Today, I once again enjoyed watching this film from beginning to end. This is probably the 12th time. That's why I decided not to remain silent and sit on the sidelines, but to pay tribute to this film and write a review, because for me, this film is a kind of phenomenon. I specifically bought it on DVD after watching it on TV. The first time I saw it, I was simply struck by its unusualness. And now, every time I start watching the first frames, I watch with pleasure until the very end. A WELL-MADE, VERY SIMPLE, AND VERY COOL ACTION MOVIE. It's beautifully shot. All the clichés are there, but they're honed to perfection. Every time I watch the court scene, tears well up in my eyes: “We find Chris Wong... not guilty!” It's shot beautifully in the best Hollywood tradition. The director is a true professional. He turned a simple plot into a fascinating spectacle!

As for the “action” component, it's primarily super spectacular and beautifully staged fights. They look amazingly realistic! I think I saw something like this in Casino Royale, but I can't remember seeing it anywhere else. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson gave a magnificent performance; this is his role 100%. After this film, I started watching all the films he has appeared in. In general, the film's style is reminiscent of Rambo: First Blood, which, in my opinion, is the best in the series.

All the actors in the film give solid performances. The characters are perfectly written by the screenwriter. The bad guys are bad, the good guys are good, and all this against the backdrop of a fierce confrontation that is skillfully built up from the first to the last minute. Overall, the film is not long, about 80 minutes, so it feels like one big, gorgeous music video. I would also like to note the magnificent cinematography—sometimes the views and angles are simply gorgeous! Plus, Johnny Knoxville's performance—he is an excellent actor. The main character's girlfriend is also beautiful.

The soundtrack is beautiful! It's typical American music, but it's well played and well chosen. Beautiful nature, beautiful people, beautiful cars, and fights. What else do you need for a solid action movie?!
