Story Movie

Perdita Durango 4K 1997 Ultra HD 2160p
The devil himself is embodied in the image of a fatal and dangerous girl - Perdita Durango. Durango in the language of the Indians is "cocky". Evil attracts evil, and Perdita finds a partner - Romeo Dolorosa, a real gangster and maniac, driven by animal instincts.

Their lives are car and helicopter chases, fights and shootings, drugs, bloody love and voodoo magic. They are being hunted by the FBI, police and gangsters.

What they are planning and what they can achieve together, one can only guess, but they are able to meet the most unthinkable expectations.

Review 4K Movie

I was trying to find out what kind of relationship exists between the Cannes Film Festival winner, Wild at Heart, by cult director David Lynch, with this film, whose title can make us smile audibly, Perdita Durango. At first I noticed that Barry Gifford was directly involved in creating the script. But this is not enough to talk about 'Perdite Durango' as a sequel to 'Wild at Heart', and only then I saw that the heroine with this name was in the Lynch tape performed by Isabella Rossellini.

The American-Spanish-Mexican film Perdita Durango is not a direct sequel to Wild at Heart. It's like the director, screenwriter and actor Kevin Smith's characters are intertwined in different films, but have a purely indirect relationship to each other (the only exception is the 'Clerks' dilogy, which may soon turn into a trilogy). But it became clear that Barry Gifford had laid out thoughts about his secondary heroine from another movie on the script pages. So now we will meet this daring girl (from the annotation to the film you can read that her name is translated as 'Daring').

Perdita Durango is a lively and dangerous lady who is not easy to deal with. Her criminal tendencies coexist with insanity. It seems like nothing like that, you can come up, it looks somehow easily accessible, but then it would be nice to leave all the personal belongings intact, or even save your life. One evening she meets a certain Romeo Dolorosa (Javier Bardem), who, in terms of his sanity, can hardly be considered adequate people, besides, the investigating authorities have been watching him for a long time. But the fateful acquaintance of Perdita and Romeo could lead to dire consequences.

This picture is one of those that will tell about a deadly couple of lovers, they will be shown to us in the style of 'road movie', which was the main in the whole story of 'Wild at Heart'. Seriously embedded elements of crime border on cruelty, horror, fear, bloodthirstiness; it's like the dance of death in the graveyard of an amazing girl - repulsive, but impossible to tear away. In principle, a couple of the main characters can be attributed to the same maniacs from 'Natural Born Killers' or the couple from 'True Love' who include murder in their daily life, and 'Wild at Heart' and so stand together with 'Perdita Durango'.

The action takes place in Mexico. But even the reigning lawlessness, arms and drug dealers, pimps and hitmen can all seem like playful kids compared to Perdita and Romeo. The heat of the desert, the dust of the road, sex and violence are the main components of the atmosphere of the picture. Of course, impressionable people are strictly forbidden to watch this film.

The actors involved in the film took the roles seriously, without negligence, creating images that perfectly fit into the atmosphere of the picture and its concept. The Spanish director Alex de la Iglesia is known to me for the films 'Murders in Oxford' and 'The Last Spark of Life', the films, frankly, are mediocre, but now it became clear due to which the director does not lower his bar, being able to get the actors from the state and demonstration heroes. I can mark everyone for this film: Rosi Perez, who frightens Perdita to nightmares, and Bardem, who amazed even more by playing Romeo, clouded by his mind, and two young guys who, by chance, were in the wrong place, at the wrong hour (this I'm talking about Amy Graham and Harley Cross).
