Beverly Hills Cop (I love this movie)

It was 1984. There was some regular action movie called Beverly Hills Cop. The film was directed by a young American director Martin Brest, whom you will later love for such films as "The Smell of a Woman" and "Meet Joe Black". And the main role in this film was played by a young and unknown actor Eddie Murphy. Then few people guessed that this film would become a cult and give rise to several sequels. And about the endless imitators who miserably parodied this film, I better keep silent.

In this film, Eddie Murphy played a police officer, in front of whom an old friend is being killed. Of course, he wants to find the people who killed his friend, and traces of the criminals lead him to the sunny city of Beverly Hills. And this is where the fun begins.

I still cannot understand how this film, with a very small budget, collected just a huge box office. After all, if later people will go to the movies specifically for the actor Eddie Murphy, then the situation is not clear, because then Eddie Murphy was only gaining momentum. Apparently people then were simply hungry for a quality action movie. And this action movie is one hundred percent perfect. There is everything for the happiness of any moviegoer. The action here is simply furious, and the humor that comes from the main actor can make you laugh to tears. And there are some very sad moments in this film.

Director Martin Brest made perhaps the best film about a policeman who almost always worked alone, although he will certainly have assistants here. Personally, I have watched this film many times and will definitely watch it again. This film has a very kind aura and it just wants to be watched over and over again. And the brilliant main theme song from the film forever stuck in my headphones.

Actor Eddie Murphy with this film proved that he is a very original and very talented actor. In this film, he created a unique image of a policeman, and I remember watching all parts of this film on old cassettes. I grew up with Eddie Murphy and I am glad that I am living in the era of great actors. It is a pity that modern youth know Eddie Murphy as a "donkey" from the cartoon "Shrek" or do not know him at all. And I have always loved him, and I will love him until my death. And I will gladly give the maximum rating to this masterpiece. Recommend.
