Story Movie

Like her mother, whom she hasn't seen in 15 years, Sam works as an assassin. She takes pity on an eight-year-old girl on another assignment and decides to protect her at all costs, even if she has to go up against her own boss to do so. "Gunpowder Cocktail" is a story about a girl named Sam, who is a hitman, like her mother, while performing another job, she got into a bad situation, and now she has to fix it... What can I say about "Gunpowder Cocktail", its style reminded me of the movie "The Conjured" with Margot Robbie, I even thought that the director of this movie is not the same, it turned out to be a surprise, because the films, so to speak, are very similar in spirit.

Visually it is a rather bright, neon movie, with some good fights and shootings and some action, the blood was almost like in Tarantino's films. Concerning the story, I can't say there were any super surprises, in principle the heroine's story is quite clear and understandable, it was interesting to watch, she wasn't boring at all, with her own inner drama.

I would like to mention that the cast of the movie is pretty good. Karen Gillan, Sam, to be honest, for me Karen is more associated with Nebula, that's why I saw this actress in the leading role for the first time, and she succeeded in her role, I even thought that her character reminded me of the Black Mamba from "Kill Bill", her character is a killer, but I would say she is not bad as a person, she has a complicated relationship with her mother, and it left a mark on her.

Lena Headey, Scarlet, Sam's mother, I can't say she had much screen time, but overall she fit the character perfectly. Carla Gugino, Michelle Yeoh, Angela Bassett complemented the female company harmoniously.

In general, "Gunpowder Cocktail" turned out to be a kind of clip action film, with adult rating, in which one heroine can "kick" a lot of villains and still come out almost "dry", on the plus side I would mark the fights scenes, they are reasonably well done, the soundtrack is rather natural with what goes on in the film, the cast is not bad, but still, with all the advantages, I can not say that the film is outstanding in its genre. "Gunpowder Cocktail" is such an average, passable movie, it's not bad, but not a masterpiece, in general, you can watch it once.
