Story Movie

Three dorky brothers who haven't spoken to each other for a year after their father's death find themselves on a train traveling through India. Here they find themselves, heeding the call of their eldest to reunite on a journey that should help them understand and find themselves, restoring weakened family ties. Soon, however, this good deed goes off course: the distrustful relatives start bickering and trying to fight, as a result of which they find themselves dropped off in the middle of the desert. And, of course, this is not all the trouble that awaits them, especially if you know that the true purpose of the journey, conceived by the seeker of spiritual balance, is somewhat different from what he told his brothers.

Review 4K Movie

Imagine this: a train is traveling through India, and in one compartment there are three brothers who have long since lost sight of each other due to tragic events. Now, a year later, the eldest of them, Francis, has had a change of heart and decided that they should become a family again. But Peter and Jack are not very keen on this idea, and throughout the journey they manage to argue and quarrel more than once, but they can't jump off the train while it's moving, as they say, you can't escape fate.

Francis (Owen Wilson) is the one who started this mess. He is self-confident and thinks he can do anything, but despite this, he hides a lot. It's no coincidence that he chose an ancient country like India for his spiritual journey; there's simply no better place. And the bandages on his face are a surefire hit. Owen showed himself from his best side, both as a comic actor and as a tragic one. His lines and manner of speaking are so diverse that you laugh and cry at the same time.

Peter (Adrien Brody) thinks it's unfair that Francis is in charge of everything and tries to take over. Although if you don't mess with him, you might not even notice his silly quirks. Adrian gave a stunning performance as a man who is afraid of responsibility and tries to run away from it, and because of his habit of taking other people's keys, glasses (oh, how they suit him!), and belts without asking, there were quite a few arguments with Francis. In short, I want to say that every minute with Adrian on screen is worth its weight in gold.

Jack (Jason Schwartzman) is the youngest and most normal of the three. Jason is also the co-writer of the script. Before that, he made the prequel to The Darjeeling Limited, a short film called Hotel Chevalier, starring himself in the lead role, but even if you don't watch it, it's okay, because the main storyline is clear without it. Jack writes stories, and when he gives them to Peter or Francis to read, they easily recognize themselves in the characters, to which Jack replies, “All the characters are fictional.”

But no, I tell you, they are completely and utterly real. It's a rare stroke of luck to find a film like this, without a hint of falseness, affectation, or artificiality. Everything is extremely simple, one event flows smoothly and consistently from another. Wes Anderson has perfectly used all his skills to make a good film, and it is immediately clear that he was given a camera for a reason. A riot of colors, a unique atmosphere, music, complete harmony with the viewer, and most importantly, truly funny but not vulgar humor.

Everything seems simple, but a deep meaning shines through the uncomplicated and sometimes even frankly silly narrative. Without straining, it gives you a reason to think about your relationships with your loved ones. And after watching it, it still seems that a train is rolling somewhere in India, and in it are three people who were able to hear, understand, and forgive each other.
