So! Everything is decided and planned. Already packed and packed. And, it seems, - nothing can prevent you from tasting the delights of a well-deserved vacation.

Not so! When the Griswold family gathered for the vacation, the real circus began! The head of the "event," Clark Griswold, is eager for a peaceful family reunion while traveling across the country on what promises to be a very exciting trip!

But Daddy Griswold's sweet dreams are not destined to come true: the vacation turns into a roller coaster ride 2,460 miles long! Everyone contributes to the "variety" of the cultural program of the vacation - Uncle Eddie, Aunt Edna, the seductress in the Ferrari and, of course, the obese security guard!

Among the many movie projects, a separate item for me have always been those that I watched as a child, but which, nevertheless, did not pass for me without a trace. Such movies, which with their quality and timeless plot are still remembered and revisited with a smile and a feeling, as when you meet a good old friend, whom you have not seen for a long time. And it was with this mood that Casey Cooper revisited the comedy (Vacation, 1983).

It is difficult for me to single out any particular point of merit of this picture - rather everything together, episode by episode, lined up in such a successful narrative, in which it is simply impossible to find a weak link, but which with each of its elements is, perhaps subjective, but still an exemplary classic.

Indeed, it's not often that you meet a project that would please you from start to finish, but they do exist, it's enough to remember this movie, to imagine the whole storyboard of its plot and it turns out that every part of the journey (whether it's a meeting with relatives from the backwoods, stunning blonde always passing by or any of the stops) is remembered for its comedy stuffing from a combination of extremely ridiculous situations, very black humor (the attitude to the death of the characters may seem too harsh), the truth of life, the ability of characters to get out of unimaginable situations and in general such screen performance, which even after three decades is not boring.

At last it remains to remember the magnificent cast with the best role of Chevy Chase, his pleasant screen family and several less bright secondary characters, and when you meet this film (and no less successful its sequels) in the broadcasting grid to the motif of its iconic musical theme and to nothing but a recreation not disposable spectacle, once again look at one of the funniest and most unusual family vacations in the history of cinema.
