Unfortunately, I consider part 3, along with part 5, to be the worst in the entire franchise. On the one hand, it seems that the plot of the film is radically different from the first two parts, but the film does not stand out in terms of plot or execution.

The essence of the film is that while transporting prisoners, the police van gets into an accident and further travel becomes impossible. The situation is complicated by the fact that there are only three cops, and the prisoners themselves are divided into two camps - “neo-Nazis” and “Latinos” - who are at odds with each other. It would seem that we will have to watch only men throughout the entire film, but no... The plot presents us with a surprise in the form of a pretty girl, whose company was previously raided by a maniac cannibal (by the way, unlike in the first parts, we only see the three-fingered man and his... son).

The plot is rather boring, and while the opening segment, in which we can watch the classic meaningless murders in the context of further events (although in this film we see the opposite), as well as the scenes in prison, can be called quite tolerable, the further development is objectively disappointing. No, I can't say that the film is a failure, but compared to the other parts, it is very, very weak.
The acting is mediocre, but not disappointing. In principle, all the actors fit their roles well, especially the prisoners. And because of this, you may get the feeling that the horror film is turning into a crime thriller. And not a very strong one at that.

Part 3 was the first of three films directed by Declan O'Brien. It is perhaps better than the fifth part, but inferior to the fourth in terms of intensity and plot. It is also worth noting that, unlike the other parts directed by Declan, the film does not show erotic scenes every five minutes (which makes sense, since there are only men there), except for the opening scene, where the actress shows her breasts to the audience. Already in parts 4 and 5, he goes crazy and such scenes become the norm.

As a result, you can watch it as a sequel, but in my opinion, it is one of the weakest parts of the franchise.
