Previous projects of varying degrees of success, quality and rating, in principle, did not say anything about the upcoming return of famous heroes. However, "Aladdin Ultra HDR" was perhaps the best example of the entire line of film adaptations. The chic city of Agrab, magnificent costumes, juicy special effects - the film is one big holiday for which Disney did not spare money. It is worth mentioning a careful attitude to the canon: the images were transferred very organically, and the plot follows the original without striking differences.

The number of songs and dances can give odds to any Indian cinema, but this two-hour merry carnival is the grayest spot in Guy Ritchie's filmography. The most talented director here does not guess at all and does not bring absolutely anything new. A similar production project, sandwiched in a certain creative framework and focused on the simple squeezing of money from an old audience, could be led by almost a debutant. After a series of commercial failures, the director should finally be happy, because Aladdin Ultra HDR feels confident at the box office, but it is completely incomprehensible why Guy Ritchie even undertakes such projects.

Will Smith in the role of Ginny is brilliant. Although it is difficult for an actor of this level to be not brilliant against the background of newcomers and no-villain. To realize such a colorful antagonist was difficult, but quite feasible. Jafar turned out to be the weakest link: the actor frankly does not stretch, walks with the same facial expression and just spoils the impression of the film. To Aladdin and Jasmine, sympathy arises much more readily.
