Review 4K Movie

My first impression of the film wasn't exactly negative—I really like this kind of movie—but the version I got had such a terrible translation that I just felt sorry for my ears and physically couldn't bring myself to watch it to the end. Although I did note to myself that the film seemed okay.

Now, thanks to one very kind person, I was able to watch it again in better quality. And here's what I can say.

This is an excellent film. It is representative of classic Hong Kong kung fu films, diluted with Jackie Chan's signature interpretation. It is easy to find references to the films that made Chan famous (I am referring to Snake in the Eagle's Shadow and Drunken Master). On the other hand, the film can be called something like a comedy of errors. Only in those comedies, as a rule, twins were confused, and here they simply confused two brothers, since neither of them had ever been seen before, and also because each of them had identical white clothes.

The fact that it is presented as a comedy of errors, and not just as a stunt movie, is what makes the film so appealing. There are quite a few different funny situations that the main character finds himself in. His confrontation with the inspector looks particularly good—something between a game of tag and a battle of wits.

Stunts. I don't think there's much point in talking about them. Everything is very cool, spectacular, and delightful, as always.

However, it seems to me that such films are intended for fans of this genre. Other viewers may not enjoy The Young Master. Therefore, I will not recommend it. I will only say that it is a good film, and you will not regret watching it.
