Unlike many, I watched this film recently, and although it was shot long ago, he did not lose his charm.

This is a real fairy tale. The tale that true love will pass through everything that is real evil is always hidden under masks, is cunning, wriggling, and it is not always possible to immediately recognize it, a tale that in the end good, justice, faith in miracles and friendship are all the same they win.

I liked the film from the first minutes: when my grandfather comes to his sick grandson and begins to read a book to him. From this moment I realized that the story will be interesting and magical.

Heroes like right away. Westley and Buttercup are an ordinary farm boy and an ordinary girl. But a very strong, faithful, sincere and unselfish real love came to them unexpectedly. They loved each other so much that the whole world lit up for them with light that for their sake they were ready for anything, and without each other there was no life for them. “I died that day when you died!”, Buttercup will tell his Westley. Indeed, love does not choose people by origin, love comes to those who deserve it. And they are worthy of her, and they will prove it more than once.

Westley is brave, noble, devoted to his love. In order to return his beloved, he will go through many obstacles and dangers, even go through death. After all, even death cannot be an obstacle to true love. He was a youth, and returned as a man. Which is agile, quick, savvy, and an excellent swordsman. He defeats enemies, either with his skills or with his mind. Carey Elvis played very well. The actor was ideally suited for this role.
