Review 4K Movie

The series 'Resident Evil' is known all over the world and, oddly enough, it did not start with the films of Paul Anderson, which at the end went into such a wild trash that I don't even want to comment on this now. Meanwhile, the series of games continues to exist today, and gather more and more fans into its camp. At least against this background, the Kapcom company, back in 2008 (and maybe even earlier), gave the go-ahead for the release of full-length films that will not be directly related to the main plot of the games in the series, but at the same time, will give it some development and will throw the main characters into the heat of the next battle with the biological weapons of insidious corporations. "Degeneration" and "Curse" turned out to be really very worthy things and could certainly please many fans of the original game universe.

The plot of the third work in the collection of feature films will again return the viewer to one of the main characters of the series, namely to Chris Redfield and Leon Kennedy. The surprise here will be the unexpectedly joined them Rebecca Chambers, who has not appeared in the entire franchise and the universe as a whole for more than ten years. Together they will face another psychopath who has developed a new virus that turns its carriers into mindless killing machines. In addition to destroying the villain, they urgently need to find an opportunity to create a vaccine against the impending epidemic.

As I noted above, several of the previous feature films have been very worthy and should be watched simply by any self-respecting Resident Evil fan. And how good it is that 'Vendetta' is not inferior to them in quality, but somewhere, well, at least for me, it simply surpasses. There is a huge number of references to the game series and not only, the films of the same name have not been forgotten either, and even so, they have drawn something from completely different projects. Nevertheless, it turned out quite organically. Scenes of action change one after another, the main characters practically do not sit still - here's an old mansion, here's the streets of the city destroyed by a virus, and here are several secret laboratories. In short, all the components of the series are in place, including the characters themselves, which are certainly recognizable and interesting in their own way. The action in Vendetta is very good and it is the same, in the manner of what we were shown in the main episode. The main characters arrange real performances using weapons at the time of extermination of local monsters. Apparently masters of their craft worked on the staging of the battles, and even though some of these episodes were in places clearly borrowed from some 'Equilibrium' or 'John Wick', it still turned out spectacularly. Yes, there are a number of shortcomings here - visually the picture turned out to be unpretentious, and the plot could not be more banal. In addition, some characters do not very logical and characteristic things for them. Not to mention that the ending with the vaccine in general plunged me into some bewilderment. But nevertheless, in my opinion, all this turned out to be too petty to perceive this feature negatively.

As before, 'Vendetta' is a spectacle exclusively for a narrow circle of spectators, because the focus is just on those who are not least familiar with the game series. People who have watched exclusively Anderson's crafts will almost certainly not understand much here and clearly will not experience that share of positive emotions when the same Rebecca Chambers or some references to the games of the series appear. But at the same time, as well as a completely non-stressing spectacle, 'Vendetta' will certainly also fit, since the main plot here is still torn off and the local antagonist, Glenn Arias, appears here for the first time. By the way, he is very colorful, but he is quite capable of plugging some antagonists into the belt of even the main game series, not to mention those that were in Anderson's films.
