Having selected the most promising prisoners from a prison that contains not only the most dangerous criminals, but also people with supernormal abilities, and not even people, a government agent sends them on a suicide mission to a Latin American country where a military coup has recently taken place. And to prevent them from escaping, an explosive device is implanted in each head.

The super-guarded Belle Reeve prison again acts as a supplier of killers, crazy and anthropomorphic animals to ensure the safety of the world, and the operation to rescue it is again led by Amanda Waller (Viola Davis), a restless aunt from the government intelligence service (or where else is she).

The island state of Corto Maltese becomes the epicenter of danger for the planet, so Waller again forms a strike group of villains from the prisoners of Bel Reeve prison, which he promises to knock off the term in exchange for cooperation. The government agent is a lady not only restless, but also cunning: in which case, it will not be a pity to lose the notorious villains, because the mission entrusted to their super villainous shoulders is pure suicide.

"Suicides ..." by James Gunn definitely turned out brighter and more watchable than "Suicides ..." by David Eyre, who worked on the first part of 2016. Gunn's Suicide Squad is a mixture of cruelty and jokes from below the waist, seasoned with a sauce of blood, but what happens on the screen is much better suited to the title of the film. If in the first part the supervillains only seemed to be cruel killers and insane maniacs, but in fact they looked quite good guys (and by the end each of them shone with a halo that appeared over his head), then in the sequel Gann does not raise them to the rank of saints, initially showing their true essence. And the cinema does not lose anything from this, if not to say the opposite - it gains a lot.

There are many heroes, but two hours of screen time is enough to embrace the immensity. Not every character is represented fully enough, but Gann showed several of them in all their glory. Including Harley Quinn, the role of which is played by Margot Robbie, which certainly pleased me - this is the only character that personally arouses genuine interest in me. (Probably due to sympathy for Robbie herself, not without it.) Quinn appears here in the form in which she should: amorous, but fickle; crazy, but calculating, and in the latest fashion - strong and independent, but not so much as not to joke about it.

I will not talk about the rest of the heroes, everyone will see for himself. I will only say that few villains migrated from the first part to the second - only a couple of three, but maybe it's for the better.
