Riley is a teenager now, and the headquarters in her brain is undergoing a major overhaul to make room for new emotions. Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust in no way expected the emergence of Anxiety, Envy, Confusion, and Boredom. Riley goes to hockey camp with her two best friends for a chance to make the high school team, and Joy believes she knows best what to do in this situation. So does Anxiety.

It is true that joy becomes less with time, but it never disappears. With the growth of complex conflict emotions, a person's personality does not lose the positive parts.

The cartoon Inside Out 2, is all about the same main character Riley. She grew up and in her head department came he, mysterious, breaking all previous beliefs - Puberty, and with him 4 more new emotions (Anxiety, Shame, Misery and Envy), by the way the size of each emotion clearly show their importance.

After some expansion of frames, there were also reductions. The extremely active emotion Anxiety suppressed all the old familiar characters with its intelligence and the power of Shame. Next, the whole plot mess began.

The cartoon turned out to be just as wonderful as the previous installment. The first Inside Out came out when I was 12/13 and I looked at Riley then as a story of yesteryear. Now I'm 21 and have the opportunity to look at me that 13, with the help of the same Riley. And you know, from my recollection, that's how it was. That perpetual self-disassembly, realizing who I am, anxiety coming out of every crevice and the complete belief that you have to be like everyone else to be hung out with. Some of those stats are still there, some of them have been dumped in the junk department, and new ones have taken their place.

I hope I get another look at Riley 9 years from now, only with a quarter-life crisis, but good thing there are plenty of those stories in the movies already.
