King Harold has suddenly died, and now the giant Shrek is forced to become king of Far Far Away Land. Shrek respects the family traditions of his wife Fiona, but he really doesn't want to rule the country, and so he sets off with Donkey and Puss in Boots to find a new king. But while Shrek is searching for King Arthur, the other heir, Prince Charming is plotting new mischief.

So, this is the third part of my favorite cartoon series - 'Shrek'. It is very rare for directors to make the third part of the same work worthy, so let's see if they did it this time.

In the kingdom of mourning - the king died. Now the Kingdom needs an heir to ascend the throne, but Shrek, to put it mildly, is not suitable for this role.... Will he be able to find a successor and what adventures await the friends ahead?

I liked the plot, yes, it is not as dynamic and iconic as in the previous two parts, but! I think it's because we already take this cartoon and the characters for granted, we are used to them and there are no wow-effects from them as when you see them for the first time on the screen. Nevertheless, it does not become less interesting to watch.

As for the characters, they remain the same: Shrek, Fiona, Puss in Boots and the donkey. Besides, Shrek has a new addition to his family, they didn't forget about Draconicha, though she plays more of a secondary role in the animated series. In general, there is a development. The creators of the cartoon retained all the characters we liked and added new ones, so that there was a variety.

In terms of music here yes, you can see a little sagging. If in the first and second parts there were cult tracks, which were not heard only by the deaf, then in the third part there is no such thing. Yes, the musical accompaniment is decent, but there is no zest....

As for the graphics, honestly, I don't notice any difference between 'Shrek', 'Shrek 2' and 'Shrek 3'. Although quite a few years have passed between them and, logically, the graphics have stepped forward a lot in that time. Maybe they didn't change it on purpose, because the graphics have a direct impact on how the viewer perceives the characters and what's happening on the screen. But honestly, I like this kind of drawing, and I would love to see it again in 2022. It looks decent.

Overall, it's a good cartoon that certainly doesn't have the same wow effect as the previous installments, but I wouldn't say it's inferior to them by much either.
