Wallace and Gromit have gone into the baking business, turning their home into a real bakery - complete with ovens, robotic dough mixers and an old-fashioned windmill on the roof. Their business is booming, but Gromit is concerned about recent events: 12 local bakers have already disappeared without a trace this year. But Wallace doesn't care. All his thoughts are on the charming Pielle Bakewell, a former advertising model for Bake-Lite Baking. Soon Gromit realizes that his master's life is in danger, and takes on the investigation of a series of mysterious murders, which will later be called the "Deadly Baking Case".

The witty couple Wallis and Gromit are back at it again. Now they bake buns, fall in love and... confront a maniacal chef-slayer.

However, there are too many events for thirty minutes of screen time. You just don't have time to enjoy all the delicious things, which the authors have traditionally lavished on their movie.

The plot, however, is not very fresh. After all, not so long ago, the 'pie thief' terrorized the heroes of the cartoon 'The True Story of Red Cap'. And the motivation of the bloodthirsty (perhaps even too bloodthirsty for this plot) maniac is somewhat unconvincing and secondary.

It seems that after the large-scale and sparkling 'Curse of the Werewolf Rabbit' the authors decided to take a time-out - to take a break and gather their strength. And although in relation to numerous animated films, 'The Case of the Deadly Bake' stands out, excelling in many components, but in the context of the Wallis-Gromitovskogo heritage looks a little pale...
