Another creation of the Pixar studio doomed to mass success. Humanity, having made the Earth unsuitable for life completely, long ago flew into space. The small WALL-E robot, or the Universal Annihilator Landscape Light - Intelligent, has been working for centuries in splendid isolation on a deserted planet, clearing it of debris. His only entertainment is a lovingly assembled collection of plastic trinkets, a Rubik's Cube, a hand-cockroach and a cassette with the movie "Hello, Dolly!" Having fallen in love with the EVU robot sent by people in search of a planet fit for life, WALL-I penetrates the reconnaissance spaceship and sets off on a new space journey to meet new adventures.

The earth turned rusty red. Next to dilapidated skyscrapers, new - huge cubic houses grew. Cubes are pressed garbage collected by the robot-cleaner Wall-i, which for some reason they forgot to turn off and now it works forever - repairs itself, refuel from solar panels. There are no people on the planet: they dirtied her and flew into space on a giant spaceship. History is silent about how many people fit in the ship, but clearly less than six billion. However, there are no corpses in the frame, and thanks for that.

Vall-i leads the life of an ideal bachelor. He collects all shnyaga left over from people, some dummies who would honor any film by Timur Bekmambetov. In his hangar is a perfectly structured bachelor mess with moving shelves. His life is pleasant and measured: work, home, hobbies and a pet - a cheerful cockroach from those that survive even a nuclear disaster.

And then a woman appears in his life.

Well, that is, we think that this is a woman: neat, beautiful, like an egg, just as white. Besides armed to, um, shells, and devoted to duty.

And he loves her. And she is faithful to duty, but then she also loves him.

He flies after her to this very huge spaceship, because she is a scout and must bring a green sprout there - proof that life on Earth has appeared again and humanity can return there.

Take my word for it: you need to go to this film in a system, immediately and drop everything. And the point is not that it is Pixar, and there you can find the heroes of other cartoons of this company, play Easter eggs and quotes. And it’s not that the characters are wildly cute, the adventurous plot is quite captivating, the jokes are funny, and indeed the film is hard knocked down, as a lovingly adventurous action movie is supposed to.

It's just a very serious, real movie. About love and self-sacrifice. About the fact that they don’t surrender their own. About fidelity to duty. About the fact that only crazy people are normal. About the fact that people always remain people and are capable of a feat - even if they turned into spherical pig-like idiots, zombied by advertisements and free fortified cocktails.

The most amazing thing about this film is its truthfulness. And the thing is not only that some things, as always happens in the animated films of the Pixar studio, are fabulous and conditional, while others, on the contrary, are photorealistic. And it’s not even a rather small episode in which a bachelor robot tries to introduce a female robot into his hangar, but she is scared of everything and does not understand that this mess and hell are a structured ideal order.

Just the first cartoon metaphor, with skyscrapers from waste - not a metaphor at all. Do not believe me - look at least from a distance (they will not let you near) at any of the numerous "solid waste landfills" near Moscow.

Looks like it's time for us to build a spaceship.
