Review 4K Movie
Tragedy by Bee Gees
If you've read or heard mixed, even negative, reviews of this movie, well.... Believe them. Mol, why a sequel to the audience, nothing new, the same problems, too many characters, Tim Burton can no longer and so on. We're gonna be advocates for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. You know, it turns out, it happens in life that a director known and loved by millions, responsible for great films in the 90s and 00s, can fall into a steep prolonged dip when a whole decade has passed from 2011 to 2020, and not a single film of the iconic Tim Burton became neither a box office hit nor an outstanding work of fiction (even if not all of his films of that period were terribly passable). In such a situation, the decision to return to the Beatlejuice, let's say, to its roots, to release an unexpected sequel to it at a far too young age and with a staggered career.... It's win or lose. Judging by what we've seen, the bet has been played for all it's worth. We are delighted with Father Edward's new creation!
Somedays by Tess Parks
When that gorgeous undead Monica Bellucci appears at the beginning of the movie to the legendary Bee Gees hit “Tragedy”, you get a good feeling inside that it's only going to get more and more interesting. Stapled together by stapler staples, a hot chopped-up woman, even dead, is ready to cheer up men, living or dead. But she's after the corpse of the corpse of the very same Beetlejuice. Why? Watch the movie. But after many years the exorcist known in the afterlife is in high demand, so in the course of the cumbersome and eventful scenario he has to make deals, hide from a tough cop, conduct a psychotherapy session, keep an eye on the telephone operators headed by Bob, a giant with a withered head with frightened eyes, one of the stars of the project. In short, there is a great buzz around, each character wants to grab his piece of attention, there is a use for everyone. All the more so, the new story fits perfectly with the 1988 original, complementing and expanding it at the same time.
Where's the Man by Scott Weiland
Tim Burton's experience allowed him to take control of the ambitious task of making the sequel, traditionally, bigger, louder and longer. At the same time, the second part is not completely similar to the first, as the audience, for example, will see a different relationship between Lydia and Delia Deetz, because now they are close and even quietly communicate with each other. There is almost nothing left of the former Goth girl, Winona Ryder perfectly copes with the role of a frightened, nervous and lost mother, who now herself is facing difficulties in her relationship with her daughter after the sudden death of her husband. As far as the character of Catherine O'Hara not only succeeded in her questionable creativity, but was able to successfully monetize popularity at the expense of the new times, when any beauty in art - in the eye of the beholder. Young Astrid, Lydia's daughter, had to grow up surrounded by women like this, though other than longing for her dead father and resentment toward her mother for her constant work, nothing else is known about her. She's okay.
Right Here Waiting by Richard Marx
Jenna Ortega, because of her height and face, can still play unsociable schoolgirls for another 10 years quite successfully. Add to this a slippery, self-serving fiancé and producer of Lydia; her father Charles Dietz, who walked around the whole movie in a very extravagant and funny appearance; a local pastor with suspicious hobbies in the evenings; a burly former actor who can't die (live) without coffee and cool phrases from action movies; a strange young man with equally strange parents in a creepy house; finally, the beautifully scary and terrifying Countess Dolores. In the end, a whole host of well-meaning quirky characters are bound to collide in a sumptuous ending that instantly references the very scene from the first movie with the unforgettable dance and song. Everyone will get what they deserve, the unfortunate will become happy, and only Beetlejuice will rise above the rest, albeit a less sexy one. If during the first third, while you get used to everything going on, a little bored, here by the end the doubts are cast aside boldly.
