Charming and spoiled high society socialite Tracy Samantha Lord is about to marry for the second time. She has found what she thinks is the perfect man - her father's employee. High society, luxury, chic houses, cars, constant receptions and parties. Getting into high society is a dream, if not for everyone, then certainly for many ordinary people. Entertainment and leisure, a refuge for the lazy. Nevertheless, there is no shortage of people who want to visit high society at least once. This is true now, just as it was 50 years ago. But behind all this facade and carefree life, the same human passions boil as in the rest of the world. How to choose the man with whom you will be happy for many years, how not to lose? This question arose for Tracy Samantha Lord (Grace Kelly), the daughter of a wealthy and respectable business owner. After marrying Dexter Haven (Bing Crosby), a neighbor from an equally respectable family, she was clearly not enthusiastic about his work as a pop singer. Unsatisfied with the prospects of this marriage, she chose a new fiancé, George Kittridge (John Lund), the manager of her father's company. Blinded by opportunity and status, she completely overlooked the romance of her life with Dexter and their true love. But, surprisingly, it was a simple reporter, Mike Connor (Frank Sinatra), who had no understanding of high society lifestyle, who opened her eyes to this. Later, succumbing to Mike's charm, Tracy falls in love with him. It will be very difficult for a young girl, thirsty for status and romance, to extricate herself from this love quadrangle.

Not every actress can handle such a difficult role. And that is why Grace Kelly, the stunning, magnificent Grace Kelly, is perfect for this role like no other. It is worth noting that this was her farewell role before becoming the official wife of the Prince of Monaco. Here, Grace almost completely reveals herself as a heroine of melodramas and a conqueror of the hearts of viewers. The duo of the two main characters is worthy of her, two wonderful actors and singers, Sinatra and Crosby. The owners of beautiful velvety voices adorn this light, cheerful film with their songs no less than the beautiful Kelly. I cannot fail to mention the song “True Love,” where Grace sings a duet with Crosby. I was pleasantly surprised by Kelly's excellent vocal abilities, and I very much regret that I will hardly be able to hear them anywhere else. And of course, how can we forget the great jazz musician Louis Armstrong, whose orchestra accompanies such beautiful voices.

Without a doubt, this light and cheerful film will be a great way to pass the time for those who adore Grace Kelly, love jazz music and the charming voices of Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby, or simply want to relax and get their fill of good mood, positivity, romance, and immerse themselves, even if only for 100 minutes, in the carefree atmosphere of high society.
