The heroine of this movie has been obsessed with the urge to die since childhood. Her most vivid childhood impression was blood on a white tablecloth - a man had been thrown out of a window, and her mother ran outside and covered the corpse. Now grown up, she works for a firm that cleans up apartments after murders. With a morbid curiosity, the girl collects newspaper clippings about a serial killer, nicknamed "the blue blood killer" in the press. One day our cleaning lady is sent to clean up the blood in the house where he has just committed another murder. At the same time, Baldwin's character arrives there to wipe away the evidence... And that's where they meet.

Like an evil and very hungry seagull, I grabbed a whole box of movies for the weekend. At the top was a disc with a very uninteresting title—Curdled. There was a small note on the box saying that Tarantino had had a hand in the creation of this film.

And actress Angela Jones was the same cheerful taxi driver from Pulp Fiction.

In the first few minutes of watching, I thought I was watching a thriller. But it turned out to be a funny black comedy with a somewhat banal but well-crafted plot.

“I'm curious to see how it all happens,” Gabriela says to her friend. She is not afraid of blood or corpses at all. Moreover, after seeing an advertisement for a crime scene cleanup agency, she rushes to find a new job.

On the other hand, there is the mysterious “Blue Blood Killer” played by William Baldwin. The character is not particularly interesting and does not require any obvious effort from the actor. However, during one of his special evenings, he loses his vigilance, allowing his victim to write his name with a permanent marker. The blood, of course, hides a little secret, but he still needs to come back with a cleaning agent.

I think you can guess what comes of all this. I wouldn't say the film is terrible. I'd like to, of course, but the director (Reb Braddock) squeezed everything possible and most of the impossible out of the situation.

First and foremost, of course, is the choice of the lead actress. Angela Jones' sweet smile made me feel more than uncomfortable. What can I say, I felt much more comfortable watching Todd Browning's Freaks. She was perfect for the role.

By the way, the only thing Tarantino contributed to this film was his money.

No matter how you look at it, the film is actually bad. Of course, it captivates with its charming musical accompaniment and naively recreated atmosphere of the early 80s. There are many references and reactions, but it was all more than predictable. Everything is simple and on topic, which Braddock had no intention of deviating from.

He simply does his job and does it honestly and without any excuses. Like any agency that disposes of the remains left behind after someone's death.

I wanted to relax and have a laugh. And I got that in spades from Curdled. It's a solid film that only claims 85 minutes of your time. And if you understand those conditions, you'll like it.
