The Family Man 4K 2000 Ultra HD 2160p

Story Movie

Fate, in the form of a Black Santa, presents Jack with a difficult choice. He could be the president of an investment firm, live in a luxurious apartment, drive the latest Ferrari, and remain a bachelor. Or he could become a family man, but work as a tire salesman, buy his clothes at the supermarket, and drive a minivan.

Review 4K Movie

This is a good movie for some light viewing during the New Year’s holidays. Nicolas Cage is in top form, the family storyline is simple yet heartfelt, and the cinematography is superb.

The story offers no new insights or plot twists—it’s classic Dickensian prose. The protagonist experiences a Christmas where he transforms from a lonely, self-centered careerist into a man who finds family happiness, thanks to the support of Don Cheadle, who, by the way, plays the best-groomed homeless man in cinematic history.

Jack, a wealthy and successful investor, finds himself in an alternate universe where he never moved to New York and never broke up with his girlfriend. Suddenly, this selfish and fussy middle-aged man has to take care of children and work at a tire shop in the suburbs of Jersey.

Cage’s character wonders how his life would have turned out if he hadn’t left his first love, whether he could have balanced his love for work and family, and whether the comforts of New York or suburban life with his wife and children are more important to him. All in all, this movie will seem boring to anyone who loves incredible plot twists and breakneck action. But that doesn’t make it any worse.

The film is very pleasant and heartwarming, and it has the main advantage of holiday movies—it conveys a sense of magic and happiness. I recommend adding it to your New Year’s movie marathon.
