A group of young extreme athletes decided to conquer one of the most dangerous passes in the Alps. Despite the fact that many enthusiasts have parted with their lives trying to climb to the top, these two do not intend to give up. But rumors of an impending snow storm have not yet reached them, and now the extreme journey will turn into a fight against the deadly elements.

I always hope for sweaty palms when I take in movies about conquering exciting and exorbitant heights. This year, only "The Tower" met my expectations, but I was expecting the same comparable entourage from "Summit Fever". I should point out right away that "The Tower" was not conquered by our film.

The first problem lies in the dullness of what is shown, though the film is overly eventful. But you cannot hide from sensations and having a running time of 115 minutes you have an impression that you sit while watching "Summit Fever" for five hours. When the main characters climb somewhere, then go back to the hotel, and then deal with building a personal life, it feels like an hour and a half is behind us and the next 30 minutes will pass in the style of an action-packed denouement. But in the end only 40 minutes fly by from the start and you realize that the remaining minutes of "Summit Fever" may not endure, as you have simply tired of the film, and there is no interest in the film anymore.

The second problem is the incomprehensible accents. The film is fragmented and broken into several storylines, where the conquest of the mountains is not a priority. There's the main character's revelation, getting to know the other characters, climbing, skiing in the vast snow, love affairs, "elimination games," and some inconsistent hustling in the darkness. It's worth noting that the "elimination game" was surprising because in the end the move with the survivors is partly original and out of the box.

"Summit Fever" is a film for the modern viewer, which accommodates several genres and events, but in the end the director did not manage to qualitatively reveal at least one storyline of all.
