"Payback" is really a picture with one of the most heaped characters of the protagonist, which I generally saw in the movie. Creators, it seems, do not at all know the sense of proportion in telling the story of a character's life. Here we see Christian in early childhood, in a beautiful scene where parents want to give it to a shelter for autistics, not knowing what to do with such a child in the family. Then we are transferred to the present time, where the grown up and matured character continues to struggle daily with his illness. And everything is shown realistically, we understand that this person is extremely difficult to socialize, that behind his quiet smile and courteous manners with customers is the titanic work of internal control. Therefore, when we find out that Woolf is also a genius mathematician-financier, we are doubly imbued with respect and sympathy for him. In general, the first half of the picture, dedicated specifically to the life of the hero and his economic work, is made just perfect. This is an amazingly masterfully filmed movie in which a simple accountant with a bunch of reports on the table looks like a real superhero when he displays the ratio of debit and credit on the board. About this in general it was possible to make a movie. "Payback" from this would not be affected.

But no, we do need a complicated movie. And do not care that we managed to give the dynamics of history about accounting rework. It is necessary to shove all the forces into the film action, explosions and chases.
