I found out about the movie just yesterday, the trailer was very interesting, plus the director Taylor Sheridan (he is also the screenwriter), who made 'Wind River', is the screenwriter, in my opinion, of one of the very strong crime thrillers in recent times, 'Sicario'. That's why it was decided to visit the movie, and not in vain, the picture was extremely successful.

As it was said in the opening credits, the story is based on real events. In an Indian reservation the corpse of a young girl is found, with obvious signs of murder. The body was found by accident by a local predator hunter. He came to the reservation at the request of his ex-wife's father, due to the constant attacks of some predator on the local cattle. Despite the fact that the local population is very distrustful and hostile to white people, Corey Lambert (Jeremy Renner) managed to find a common language with them and become their own. Of course, this is partly due to the fact that he was married to an Indian woman, plus has good hunting skills. But since a dead body is found, the FBI has to be called in. A rookie officer arrives. Because of her inexperience and difficulties in communicating with the local population, she asks Jeremy Renner to help, to which he agrees. It would seem that finding a killer in a small reservation will not be difficult, but in fact everything turned out to be much more complicated.

The movie left a very strong impression. When watching it, I did not notice any disadvantages. The picture turned out to be very strong.

Excellent plot. Clear, competent without any holes or sags. All two hours of the movie keeps in constant tension, despite the fact that the story is shown in a very measured pace. The director managed to skillfully combine drama and thriller. As a result, the viewer simultaneously empathizes with the characters and follows the development of events. It is difficult to guess anything in advance. Even after the killer is found, the degree of tension does not fall.

The atmosphere of the film is great, no it is not bright and colorful, it is on the contrary very heavy and depressive, but it goes only to the benefit of the film. A lot of memorable scenes, and very hard, a lot of blood, not for nothing Lena has a rating of R. Plus all this is complemented by excellent views of wildlife. The music is also good, it plays in the background, but sets the right mood

Perfectly worked out characters, as the main characters and secondary, in the course of the picture they do not stand in place, and develop, thereby complementing and so interesting story. Plus the actors played very convincingly. Jeremy Renner in this movie just perfectly coped with his role, his character is extremely interesting and has his motives in the search for the killer. Not inferior to him and Elizabeth Olsen.

As a result, Taylor Sheridan made a powerful dramatic thriller, which leaves a very strong impression when watching, and still long in the memory after. Those who like hard, gloomy, partly depressing pictures will be impressed. I give it the highest score.
