When it comes to 'The Sixth Sense', many people rush to mention the unexpected denouement. In most cases, it is this element that figures among the main pluses of the picture. 'The Sixth Sense' is not so much a thriller as a mystical horror with a large dose of drama. The latter element is largely achieved because of the excellent acting of the main character (no, it's not Bruce Willis). Haley Joel Osment without any screams, yells, tears and snot brilliantly played a child who is scared every day, every minute and every second. And the worst part is that he doesn't know how to fight it. In whatever movies Osment goes on to make, whatever roles he plays, he is doomed to be compared to his work in this picture. The rest of the actors play well, but are completely lost against Hale's background.
