Thana, a beautiful mute girl, is sexually assaulted twice in one evening on her way home from work. This nightmare damages her sanity, and she decides to take revenge into her own hands. Since then, every evening, the provocatively dressed beauty wanders the streets of the city alone, provoking attacks and killing anyone who decides to “take advantage” of her with a .45 caliber pistol. But gradually, her nightlife begins to seep into her everyday life.

The plot is based on the reappearance of the ‘noir’ style, referred to as ‘neo-noir’. In general, this trend in cinema can be linked to two political events, namely the resignation of Richard Nixon and the Vietnam War. Depression and despondency also affected the country's film industry.
The film cannot be called drawn out. The constantly changing situation gives the viewer no reason to get bored. New characters, new situations—everything is very dynamic and not at all boring.
The main character of the film is a mute girl. This allegory draws attention to the fact that Tanya has something to say, but her hands are simply “tied.” A fairly common reality of life, isn't it?
And in the end, the film deserves attention if only because it gives a brief glimpse into life in the 1980s. Look at the lifestyle of the people, the streets of New York, the fashion of the characters. It's a whole era unlike any other, unique in itself, the era of the eighties!

Tanya's Halloween costume, a nun's habit, deserves special attention. Thanks to this disguise, neo-noir is linked to religious themes. This technique can rightly be called genius.

The scenes depicting depression are indescribable. The ambiguous soundtrack only enhances the impression. Emotions are conveyed through the screen, completely enveloping the viewer in their atmosphere. Isn't this the basis of a good movie?
