For attempting to escape from the infamous Alcatraz prison, Henry was thrown naked into a “stone bag” without windows, heating, a bed, or a washbasin, where he spent three years and two months.

After his release from solitary confinement, he was charged with the murder of the prisoner who had reported him...

I couldn't find the time to watch this movie for a long time. I didn't expect anything supernatural from it... but when I finally turned it on, I didn't notice how it drew me in. It feels like I lived those two hours somewhere on the other side of the screen. The movie is mesmerizing, completely absorbing! And how my heart pounded during the final trial... as the young and inexperienced lawyer James Stamphill risked everything (his family, his girlfriend, his career) to fight an absolutely unequal battle against the system for a prisoner he knew nothing about. To feel all this, you just have to see it!

Brilliant acting, brilliantly conveyed atmosphere. It's one of those films that gives you goosebumps at the end and leaves a lump in your throat... A brilliant film!
