Philippe Setbon's horror film Deadly Mr. Frost has been one of my favorite movies since early childhood. This amazing film is unknown to a wide audience, although it has many advantages over modern horror films.

At the center of the plot is Jeff Goldblum's character, a serial killer named Frost, about whom the viewer knows very little. The director skillfully builds tension in the film, focusing more on psychological horror than on bloody scenes, which are only hinted at in the film. Partly closer to an unusual ending, the film turns into a kind of mystical parable, the meaning of which the viewer must find for themselves.

The film captivates with the stylish work of cinematographer Dominique Brenge. Each frame of the film is an element of a mystery that explains who this deadly Mr. Frost is.

The acting in the film is of the highest caliber. Jeff Goldblum, who is difficult to associate with negative characters, did a magnificent job playing the mysterious Frost. In essence, the film relies not so much on the plot as on the acting skills of the cast. Jeff Goldblum's Mr. Frost literally hypnotizes the viewer; his intense gaze into the depths of the soul is impossible to forget.
