The best detective of all time is finally back! The famous Hercule Poirot. Last time there was a triumphant but unspectacular solving of a murder on the Orient Express. This time it's murder again, but in an even more confined space - on a small steamboat.

Unlike the first film, the makers decided to drag out the introduction. This turned out to be a mistake, as I was able to determine my suspects from the familiarity of the characters, even before the murder took place. Subsequently, my theory began to be confirmed and I ended up being right before Poirot himself. So who is now the best detective of all time? Well, certainly not the creators.

While getting to know the characters, an elderly woman with her elderly servant turns out to be among them. So this elderly noblewoman turns out to be a supporter of Marxist theory! "Taak," I thought, "it's about to start." To have a character with communist views in a bourgeois western film without being discredited... It's impossible! That's how it turned out. Our mustachioed Belgian, during interrogation, declares to this woman that her views are "economic fairy tales." But, pardon, monsieur, it is 1937 (judging by the first publication of the book) in the Soviet Union, the triumphant industrialization according to the theory of Marx and Lenin, led by Stalin, has already been completed. And the detective seemed so intellectual... Eh, a pity.

He can't keep up, mustachioed, with his suspects, and the ship becomes a real mess, and you sit there like, "When are you going to figure it out!"

A very weak film in relation to the first one. The actors didn't save the day. You have to hire not only beautiful actresses for the female roles, but also those who can act. Or write a script where the female character will not only act as a sexual object, but also as an interesting character. I don't say anything about men because there is a lot of emphasis on female sexuality or a predictable plot in the film.
