I think, undoubtedly, everyone who has watched this film at least once will remember or compare it with a modern film adaptation under the direction of the great and terrible Tim Burton. But the opinions of people differ: someone thinks that Johnny Depp and advanced computer graphics with special effects a priori do everything better, but I strongly disagree with him.

Willy Wonka in the 1971 film came out the way it should be - a kind, loving children, wise factory manager and a little strange, and not a collection of mental and mental disorders, which Depp played him (calmly, fans, I do not underestimate his acting talent ).

The children are shown quite realistically, of course, with their own characteristics, but which are not utterly exaggerated and do not make them monsters corrupted by society and civilization. However, it pleases that even Charlie himself is shown not as a 'fallen angel from heaven', but as an ordinary child with his weaknesses, but this only makes him better and closer to the viewer. Although I didn’t really like his acting, but this can be immediately forgiven, since the actor had this only role in his entire career.

Bottom line: the film is wonderful, much more realistic, logical and kinder in atmosphere than the modern film adaptation (but it, of course, has its merits).
