A church mission leads two young Mormon women to the door of the seemingly harmless Mr. Reed. The man invites them in to talk about religion, assuring them that his wife is baking a pie and will soon join them, but the girls begin to suspect something amiss. They fail to sneak away, and soon find out that instead of pie, they will be subjected to subtle abuse and a real test of faith.

Two young Mormon missionaries come to Mr. Reed's house hoping to convert him. However, the homeowner begins to put their beliefs to a serious test.

The viewer is treated to an unconventional psychological chamber horror about faith, manipulation and the search for truth.

Hugh Grant is convincing and interesting in the image of a maniacal intellectual, although in some places and peeps all the usual Hugh.

In “Operation Fortune” the role of the villain Grant, in my opinion, did not succeed, so I was interested to see his next attempt.

And I hope it's not the actor's last such role, because he's clearly getting into the taste.

I was pleased with the intellectual component of the picture. Admittedly, I can not immediately remember a similar tape.

With interesting verbal pikirki pictures aplenty, but when they are combined with a thriller and well chosen music, it introduces a tense expectation of an imminent denouement. And that's great. After all, that's what we're here for, right?

The only thing that marred the experience a bit was the ending. And not because I wanted a different ending. In my opinion, some scenes were superfluous and slightly cheapened the undoubtedly deep movie.

I recommend the picture to viewers looking for something more than standard visual effects in the thriller-horror genre.

Eyes have not been frightened for a long time.

It's time to scare the brains.
