Story Movie

A young girl is brutally raped by workers building a shed, and after a while they are killed with a pneumatic hammer. It would be only them, but the killer in camouflage, a motorcycle helmet covered with duct tape and with a yellow compressed air tank behind his back, went to kill everyone who got in his way, regardless of sex and age. The sheriff and the doctor investigated the whole case, and only when the number of corpses exceeded the first ten, they were struck by a brilliant idea of who could be involved in all these crimes....

Review 4K Movie

As someone without a personal life, I can watch any kind of trash. I even like some trash, but The Nail Gun Massacre is not one of those cases. It's just your typical amateur film, which is only distinguished from truly amateurish works like Andreas Schnaas' films or something like Goblin (a 1993 film, a rare piece of trash) by its decent cinematography and attempts to create cinema out of non-cinema (I don't even understand what I just said).

In short, a bunch of country boys drag a girl to a construction site and, naturally, rape her. And after a while, someone with the voice of a broken Darth Vader, wearing a strange costume consisting of a paintball suit, a motorcycle helmet, and, in fact, a pneumatic nail gun (air tank included), starts killing everyone involved.

And... This is the main problem with the film - the image of the maniac. And it's not just the moronic costume, no. It's just that he... talks. His humorous remarks, echoing from under his motorcycle helmet, are so unfunny and hackneyed, so primitive and boring, that you want to re-dub the film yourself, either cutting out all his lines or replacing them with profound sayings (A nail is like a thought, firmly lodged in the head... Holy God, what nonsense am I spouting...). This gentleman (whose personality can be seen coming a mile away) does not possess decent manners either (at 53 minutes and 5 seconds, when he runs out of the hut, for full effect you can add the phrase “Look, Mom, I killed two people!”).

The script ends when the killings begin. And this happens rather quickly. And, I must say, there are quite a lot of victims here, but they are all killed in a monstrously monotonous way; apart from the notorious pneumatic hammer, the killer uses nothing else. And the makeup lets it down - there's enough blood, but the nails sticking out of people are, how shall I put it, too rubbery to look realistic. Well, at least they tried.

The actors here are not exactly terrible, but they are frankly underplaying their roles, and everyone is completely relaxed. I don't believe in their emotions or their suffering. Absolutely no one is going to show any wonder, which is understandable - it's not worth trying for a film like this, as few people will notice. As for the local law enforcement, they are so stupid that their first guesses about the identity of the murderer naturally appear only towards the end. Thank you, gentlemen idiots, any more or less intelligent person figured out the identity of the killer long ago without your help.

There's also some good old electronic music, which is neither unpleasant nor pleasant — just some background noise interspersed with the maniac's demonic laughter (which, by the way, is much more annoying). Overall, everything here is very average or below average. I won't pour tons of hatred on this film, but I won't recommend anyone watch it either.
