A group of kids were playing "killer" among the ruins. One of the girls lost her footing and fell to her death because of the others' negligence. Six years later, during the school dance, someone decided to take revenge, turning the school into a bloodbath.

An unrivaled horror film that emerged during the heyday of the slasher genre. Even when compared to modern horror films, it holds up remarkably well and is capable of scaring viewers even more effectively than today’s films.

Everything about the film is superb: the direction, the plot, the cinematography, and so on.
But above all, what really stood out was the acting. Back then, they really knew how to act. Just look at Jamie Lee Curtis (who was already a household name thanks to “Halloween” and who played the lead role here as well). She and the rest of the cast played their parts very convincingly.
The scenes where the kids are killed are intense and gory, which is exactly what you want. And of course, the final scene turned out perfectly.

A brilliant movie! Even though it’s been around for over two decades, it’s still an excellent example of how to make slasher films and teen horror movies.
