Story Movie

A large group of young people go to rest and have fun in the woods. At the same time, a farmer was uprooting stumps with his tractor and accidentally stumbled upon a stone slab. A warning had been carved on the slab, telling him not to touch it. He did not heed the warning and when he removed the slab, he found a real live corpse underneath.

After looking around and snacking on the farmer, the corpse went for food. And food for the reanimated dead is known to be served by living people, and there are so many tasty teenagers nearby...

Billy Hintzman, still reeling from the impression of his role in Night of the Living Dead, decided to try again. Only this time in the title role, and even take the director's chair, see if a new Romero will come out. Only Romero is far from him. Apart from that, Hinzman participated here in writing the script, producing and editing, in general, he was the main and irreplaceable person here.

Despite the constant action and the liters of blood spilled, the film is uninteresting to watch. And all because of inexpressive and empty acting and weak direction. Actors here are playing as if they were at a rehearsal reciting a memorized text. No emotion at all. Even for a movie like this, this is a serious disadvantage. And by the middle of the movie Hinzman with his hissing and growling is pretty annoying. He plays more like a crazy old man who decided to organize a bloodbath. He should have limited himself to the five minutes he played in 1968.

The storyline is just as simple as it gets, no originality at all. And the ending was even stolen from 'Night of the Living Dead'. There are too many characters in the movie, and that is not a plus either. The atmosphere in the movie is worthless, it evokes neither fear nor tension.

Also on the downside is the terrible editing.

If we take into account the paltry budget of the movie, the special effects and make-up look more bearable: arm piercing, mutilated corpses and other nastiness...
