Review 4K Movie

An incredibly powerful movie! A classic thriller masterpiece! A picture that has passed through such a period of time, is still relevant. This is just a series of what can be said about this famous film by Alfred Hitchcock. Not to say that this picture had a powerful influence on cinema is to say nothing. Like other films by the great director, this film has attracted numerous imitations, but none of them can compare with 'Vertigo'. The picture touches the audience emotionally and draws them into a stylish and unique atmosphere of exciting intrigue and light tension.

John 'Scotty' Ferguson, a San Francisco policeman, quits his job for fear of the height that prevented him from saving his colleague's life (this is shown in the prologue). Working as a private detective, he agrees to work for his old friend Gavin Elster. and begins to follow his wife Madeleine, who is obsessed with the idea of suicide ... Gradually, Scotty falls in love with the nervous Madeleine, and decides to help her at all costs ...

Speaking of 'Dizziness', one cannot fail to mention the great acting game. James Stewart, who plays Scotty, played just fine. His hero evokes sympathy, you empathize with him. Not every actor can play like that. Perhaps this is his best role. The charming Kim Novak plays the role of Madeleine brilliantly. Her calm manner of acting perfectly matches the general atmosphere of the film. He and Stewart made a great on-screen pair.

The rest of the actors also have no complaints. Barbara Bel Geddes, Tom Helmore, Henry Jones, Raymond Bailey ... They all did their job well and looked great on screen.

Technically, the picture is flawless. A lot of technical innovations were used - in particular, the feeling of dizziness of the main character was conveyed with the help of the released camera zoom. In addition, the art of editing in the moment when the hero is watching his friend's wife in a green car evokes admiration. The viewer creates confusion in the head and a kind of dizziness. And the piercing music of the composer Bernard Herrmann gives the 'Vertigo' efficiency and charm.

Let me summarize. 'Dizziness' is a very high-quality work made with great talent and professionalism, worthy of numerous revisions and a place of honor in your home cinema collection. One of the best directorial work of Alfred Hitchcock. Timeless cult cinema. Definitely recommended for viewing. Masterpiece!
