Taylor and Harold are complete opposites: one is a brash lawyer, the other a cautious scientist. But in the mountains they are one and the same. When fate offers them a place on an expedition to K2, they can't refuse - even though they know that Wild Mountain doesn't forgive arrogance.

“Mountains Like a Mirror.”

Watched “K2” late at night and couldn't tear myself away. It's not a blockbuster with computer-generated mountains and pretty characters - it's dirty, cold and scary the way it should be. Bean and Craven play it real, without pathos: two men who are getting in where they shouldn't and are well aware of it.

The movie is slow to get going, but by the finale it has a dead grip. There are no villains - just gore, fatigue and choice. That's what makes it worth watching.

8/10 - One of the best mountaineering movies that almost no one knows about.
