A black comedy about a colorful family living in an equally colorful house. The head of the family, Gomez Addams, is a very self-confident and rather impulsive type who, a quarter of a century ago, had a terrible fight with his older brother Fester, after which he disappeared without a trace. All attempts to find him were unsuccessful. But then, one day, on the threshold of the family mansion, someone very similar to Fester appears. But will there be a triumphant return to the family of the "prodigal brother"?

It’s very strange that Tim Burton didn’t make this movie. But, I don’t know how it would have turned out for him, but Sonnenfeld coped with the task brilliantly. No wonder the picture is considered one of the best comedies in the genre of black humor.

The humor in the film is not just black - it's just killer! Hellishly funny and deadly hilarious jokes that I personally like very much. Earlier, I must admit, when I was little, I was very afraid of 'a terrible bald uncle with black eyes', but now I understand that this is a wildly funny character Uncle Fester, played by the incomparable and deeply respected by me Christopher Lloyd. In general, all the heroes of this family are unique, at least for this they need to be loved. But personally, my favorite character is Thing. This restless hand is like a cat that walks by itself. The incomparable Angelica Houston - how does black suit her! She is simply charming in her role, despite her informal character!

Another aspect that captivates them is their positive attitude to their whole life! They say about ordinary people that they are wild, themselves being a kind of alienated person in the world. But this does not bother them. The Addams family is absolutely self-sufficient and it is !!!
