Story Movie

Miami police officers Marcus Burnett and Mike Lowry learn from TV news that their dead police captain, Conrad Howard, is accused of corruption and ties to drug cartels. Marcus and Mike refuse to believe it, and soon receive a videotape from Howard himself, taken by him before his death, in which he asks to find his killers and restore his honorable name. To do this is not so easy, now the hunt is announced on Burnett and Lowry themselves. The guys are forced to go on the run.

Review 4K Movie

The plot takes place a couple years after the events of the third installment. In a number of law enforcement agencies in Miami there is a mole who works for the Cartels. He is framing Captain Howard and our brave heroes have to risk their careers and lives to wash away the disgrace of the name of a glorious friend.

Plot-wise, I liked this installment better than the last one, there was less of an attempt at drama and relationships. I will not say that they are not here, but they are just formulaic and are found in almost every 2 movies on this topic. More frankly not pleased with the villains, it would seem that here it is intrigue, who is the mole. There should be in the movie this turn, but you almost from the first time you understand who is the rat. And in general, these are all my complaints about the plot, because our heroes themselves still burn humor and action. This time the humor became more and I do not know and judging by the reaction in the hall, and my own it became noticeably better. And the jokes stretch throughout the tape, which is good that there is consistency and punches work as they should. The only thing is that you have to catch the wave of the movie, as the main, let's say, line of Marcus in this part, too much goes into the supernatural.

On action: it became noticeably more diverse than in the 3rd part and less noticeable graphics, sorry the fire hotel at the end of the last part looked too much. Here the number of fight scenes has decreased, but the elaboration on them is amazing. Here our filmmakers have gone for Bay, and in the spirit of his recent ER they use drones. During the gunfights, expect lots of cool shots and flyaways. Separately for the benefit of the movie goes rating R, some outright brutality do not wait, but the blood is present, which only deepens the immersion in the movie and unleashes ideas for jokes. And of course there is 1 scene that steals the whole movie and one of the characters of the series got his star moment.

On the musical part, the selection of tracks was somehow better last time, but still the legendary lines: Bad boys, bad boys Whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna do when they come for you? It evokes a pleasant feeling of nostalgia. And also the title orchestral theme of the series, which also got another treatment here.

The most amazing thing is that the movie actually managed to make better than 3, and worked on the mistakes of the last tape (the only thing is that maybe the unnecessary drama to remove, after all new directors do it not so pathos, like Bay). In my personal opinion more knocked down on the dynamics of the story with excellent, almost endless humor and inventive action. Part 2 is still the best part for me (here expect also a lot of references and even shots), then this part goes on the same level as the original film, and perhaps even better due to more inventive action.
